Seminar on Freelancing Held at Khulna Divisional Commissioner’s Office with Government Employees

A seminar on basic freelancing training was recently held at the Khulna Divisional Commissioner’s Office, where Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Hirok), Founder & CEO of Unique Soft BD, attended as the Chief Trainer. The program aimed to introduce government officials to the world of freelancing and demonstrate how digital skills can play a vital role in reducing unemployment and boosting the national economy.

Chief Guest’s Speech and Insights

The seminar was graced by Khulna Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Abdus Samad, who served as the Chief Guest. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that freelancing is a promising way to reduce unemployment and can serve as a gateway for Bangladesh to earn more foreign currency. He added that freelancing enables individuals to use their talents and intelligence more effectively and can significantly improve the economic condition of the nation.

Also present at the event were Additional Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Faruque Hossain and Khulna District Commissioner Mohammad Mostofa Kamal, who expressed their appreciation for the initiative and encouraged government officers to explore the freelancing sector.

Training Sessions and Participation

During the session, Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Hirok) delivered an engaging presentation on basic freelancing principles, covering key areas such as skill development, client communication, and global marketplace opportunities. Attendees included officers from both the Divisional and District Commissioner’s offices.

The Divisional Commissioner’s Office also arranged six similar seminars, including three at the Commissioner’s Office, one at BL College, one at Khulna Government Girls College, and one at Khulna Public College, reflecting a strong commitment to expanding digital literacy among government employees.

Background and Earlier Collaboration

The collaboration between Khulna Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Abdus Samad and Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Hirok) began earlier in February 2015, when the Divisional Commissioner visited Unique Soft BD’s main office at Amjhupi Bazar, Meherpur, during an administrative tour. Impressed by the organization’s contribution to youth employment through freelancing, he expressed his support for future joint initiatives.
