Seminar on Freelancing Held at Khulna Government Women’s College, Boyra — With Teachers and Students

A basic freelancing training seminar was successfully held at Khulna Government Women’s College, Boyra, under the initiative of the Khulna Divisional Commissioner’s Office. The program aimed to motivate teachers and students to explore freelancing as a modern career path that can create new opportunities for self-reliance and empowerment.

The event was conducted with Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Hirok), Chairman of Unique Soft BD, as the Chief Trainer, who shared his vast experience in freelancing and provided guidance on how to start working in the global online marketplace.

    Chief Guest’s Remarks

The seminar was inaugurated by Khulna Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Abdus Samad, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his opening speech, he emphasized that freelancing is a great opportunity to reduce unemployment and open new avenues for earning in Bangladesh.

He said that freelancing allows individuals to work independently, utilize their skills and intelligence, and earn valuable foreign currency that contributes to the country’s economic growth. He also encouraged the participants to become part of the global freelancing community, highlighting how digital opportunities can transform lives — particularly for educated women.

    Distinguished Guests and Attendees

The event was graced by Additional Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Faruque Hossain and Khulna District Commissioner Mohammad Mostofa Kamal, who also addressed the audience. They appreciated the initiative of organizing such a program, noting that empowering women through freelancing aligns with the government’s vision of Digital Bangladesh.

The seminar was attended by teachers, students, and local officials from across the Khulna Division, all of whom expressed great enthusiasm about learning new digital skills.

    About the Seminar Series

This seminar was part of a six-part training series organized by the Khulna Divisional Commissioner’s Office to expand awareness about freelancing and digital work opportunities. Three of the sessions were conducted at the Commissioner’s Office, while the others were held at B. L. College, Khulna Government Women’s College, and Khulna Public College.

During the program, Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Hirok) discussed how to get started in freelancing, how to choose the right skill sets, and how dedication and consistent learning can lead to global success.

    Partnership and Background

The collaboration between Khulna Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Abdus Samad and Unique Soft BD began in February 2015, when the Commissioner visited Unique Soft BD’s office at Amjhupi Bazar, Meherpur, during an official administrative tour. Impressed by the organization’s work in providing free freelancing training, he expressed interest in extending the initiative across the Khulna region.
