Freelancer to Entrepreneur Development Program Concludes at Meherpur DC Office

The five-day long “Freelancer to Entrepreneur Development Program” successfully concluded on Friday at the Meherpur District Commissioner’s Office, organized by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology.

Concluding Ceremony
The closing session was held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, with Mahmud Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur, attending as the Chief Guest.
The event was chaired by Hemayet Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner, while Assistant Commissioner Zubayer Hossain Chowdhury, the Course Coordinator, delivered the welcome address.
Among others, Aminul Islam, Nejarat Deputy Collector, S. M. Rahat Hasnat, District Information Officer, and Freelancer Rebeka Khatun spoke on the occasion, emphasizing the growing potential of freelancing as a sustainable source of income and digital empowerment.
Inauguration and Training Overview
The workshop was inaugurated on Monday by Deputy Commissioner Mahmud Hossain, who praised the initiative for empowering youth through freelancing and entrepreneurship.
He noted that freelancing can play a key role in reducing unemployment and fostering digital innovation in rural Bangladesh.

Over the five days, trainees received practical guidance on topics such as freelancing business planning, sales, marketing, branding, banking, insurance, and financial management — all designed to help them transition from freelancers to successful entrepreneurs.

The Freelancer to Entrepreneur Development Program aims to inspire and equip freelancers with entrepreneurial skills to transform their individual work into sustainable business ventures.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to building a “Digital Bangladesh” by promoting innovation, self-reliance, and digital entrepreneurship.
