Freelancing Workshop at Meherpur ICT Fair 2014, Held at Meherpur Government Girls’ School

As part of the ICT Innovation Fair 2014, organized by the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Meherpur, Unique Soft BD successfully conducted a Freelancing Workshop at Meherpur Government Girls’ School, Meherpur. The workshop aimed to inspire young people to explore freelancing as a sustainable career path and a key contributor to the growth of the nation’s digital economy.

The Workshop and Its Purpose

The workshop was held in the seminar room of Meherpur Government Girls’ School, where over 50 enthusiastic young participants attended.
During the session, Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Hirok), Founder & CEO of Unique Soft BD, delivered a detailed presentation covering:

• Basic concepts of freelancing and how the global marketplace operates.

• Earning opportunities in foreign currencies through online freelancing.

• The importance of ICT knowledge in developing professional skills.

• Future prospects of freelancing in Bangladesh and its impact on reducing unemployment.

The session was interactive and practical, with attendees showing strong interest in learning about online work, digital skill-building, and entrepreneurship through freelancing.

Participation in ICT Innovation Fair 2014

The workshop was a major attraction within the broader Meherpur ICT Innovation Fair 2014, inaugurated on May 28, 2014. The annual fair, organized by the Meherpur District Commissioner’s Office, aims to discover local innovations and motivate innovators to contribute to the country’s technological advancement.

For the first time, Unique Soft BD participated in the fair, showcasing its extensive contributions to the freelancing and digital skills sector.
Their stall included:

• Step-by-step guides on how to become a freelancer.

• Information on Unique Soft BD’s training programs and operations.

• Screenshots of news coverage from multiple national and regional media outlets.

• Video tutorials and documentary clips displayed through a projector, featuring Unique Soft BD’s activities and TV news appearances.

The Freelancing Workshop, conducted alongside the fair, was one of the most engaging and well-received segments, drawing appreciation from visitors, students, and local officials alike.
