Meherpur Freelancer to Entrepreneur Orientation Program Held at DC Office

A five-day “Freelancer to Entrepreneur Orientation Program” was inaugurated today at the conference hall of the Meherpur District Commissioner’s Office, with the goal of transforming freelancers into successful business entrepreneurs. The event was organized by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology.

Opening Ceremony

The program was officially inaugurated by Mahmud Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur, who attended the session as the Chief Guest. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the importance of empowering freelancers to transition into sustainable business ventures that contribute to Bangladesh’s growing digital economy.

Training Details

A total of 40 freelancers from Meherpur district will participate in the five-day training program. The sessions will focus on essential entrepreneurial skills, including:

• Freelancing business planning

• Sales and marketing strategies

• Branding and client communication

• Business scaling methods

• Banking, insurance, and financial management

Through this initiative, participants will gain the knowledge required to expand their freelance careers into structured business enterprises.

Trainers and Mentors

The training sessions will be conducted by experienced professionals in the freelancing and entrepreneurship sectors, including:

• Shobuj Sardar, Freelancer Entrepreneur Training Executive (Dhaka)

• Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Hirok), Renowned Freelancer and Entrepreneur from Meherpur

• Four additional local expert freelancers, who will guide the participants with real-world insights and practical business strategies.

The Freelancer to Entrepreneur Program aims to bridge the gap between freelancing and entrepreneurship — helping skilled individuals build formal businesses, generate employment, and contribute to Bangladesh’s digital transformation.
