Meherpur Freelancer to Entrepreneur Orientation Program at DC Office

A five-day long “Freelancer to Entrepreneur Orientation Program” was inaugurated today at the conference hall of the Meherpur District Commissioner’s Office, with the goal of transforming freelancers into successful business entrepreneurs. The event was organized by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology. Inauguration Ceremony

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mahmud Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur, who graced the event as the Chief Guest and officially opened the training program.

In his speech, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted that freelancing is becoming one of the most promising career paths for the youth of Bangladesh. He also emphasized that empowering freelancers with business management skills would not only enhance self-employment opportunities but also contribute significantly to the nation’s digital economy.

Training Overview

The five-day training program includes 40 freelancers from Meherpur district, who will receive comprehensive guidance on topics such as:

• Freelancing business planning and development

• Sales and marketing techniques

• Branding and client communication strategies

• Business scaling and management

• Banking, insurance, and financial literacy

The initiative aims to equip freelancers with the entrepreneurial mindset and technical knowledge required to establish and grow their own digital ventures.

Trainers and Mentors

The training sessions are being conducted by leading professionals in the freelancing industry, including:

• Shobuj Sardar, Freelancer Entrepreneur Training Executive (Dhaka)

• Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Hirok), Renowned Freelancer and Entrepreneur from Meherpur

• Four additional local expert freelancers who are sharing their hands-on experience and success stories to inspire participants.

Program Objective

The Freelancer to Entrepreneur Program is part of a nationwide initiative to foster entrepreneurship among freelancers. By turning skilled individuals into business owners, the program supports the Digital Bangladesh vision — promoting innovation, employment creation, and local economic growth.
