Freelancer to Entrepreneur Development Program Concluded at Meherpur DC Office
Five-Day Workshop Successfully Conducted by ICT Division, with Munshi Jahangir Zinnat as Trainer
The five-day long “Freelancer to Entrepreneur Development Program” concluded on Friday at the Meherpur District Commissioner’s Office, organized by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology.
Concluding Session
The concluding ceremony was held at the conference hall of the Meherpur Deputy Commissioner’s Office, where Mahmud Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur, attended as the Chief Guest.
The event was chaired by Hemayet Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner, while Assistant Commissioner Zubayer Hossain Chowdhury, the Course Coordinator, delivered the welcome address.
Among others, Aminul Islam, Nejarat Deputy Collector, S.M. Rahat Hasnat, District Information Officer, and Freelancer Rebeka Khatun also spoke at the event, sharing their insights on freelancing and digital entrepreneurship.
Inauguration and Training Details
The program was inaugurated on Monday by Deputy Commissioner Mahmud Hossain, who highlighted the importance of freelancing in promoting youth employment and self-reliance.
He emphasized that initiatives like this help bridge the gap between freelancing and entrepreneurship, enabling skilled youth to become job creators rather than job seekers.

Over the course of five days, participants received comprehensive guidance on freelancing business models, marketing, branding, financial management, and business expansion strategies.
Program Impact
The Freelancer to Entrepreneur Development Program aimed to empower local freelancers by providing them with entrepreneurial knowledge and skills to start and scale their own digital ventures.
The initiative is part of the ICT Division’s broader effort to promote Digital Bangladesh, encouraging sustainable growth through technology, innovation, and self-employment.
