Elance-oDesk Seminar Featured on Meherpur News 24
A detailed report on the Elance-oDesk Freelancing Workshop, organized by Elance-oDesk (now known as Upwork) and locally coordinated by Web Crit, was published on Meherpur News 24. The day-long workshop was held on Sunday, December 7, 2014, at the Meherpur District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium, with Zoha Biswas, Chairman of Web Crit, presiding over the event.

Several successful freelancers shared their real-life experiences and encouraged participants to take freelancing seriously as a professional career. Among the speakers were Munshi Jahangir Zinnat Hirok (Founder & CEO of Unique Soft), Enamul Haque, Simson Mullick, Imran Hossain, Rasel Hossain, Tushar Imran, Polash, Rasel, Sumon Reza, and Alamgir Hossain.

During his address, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mazedur Rahman Khan urged young people to believe in themselves and embrace technology with confidence.
“Remove all doubts from your mind and awaken the greatness within you. You are born once — prove your worth. In this age of information technology, make yourself efficient and contribute to your district’s progress through innovation and knowledge.”
Chief Guest Motasim Billah Motu, Mayor of Meherpur Municipality, also encouraged the attendees to make positive use of technology:
“Use the internet wisely. Take advantage of its good opportunities and avoid its harmful sides. If we utilize it properly, Meherpur will move forward with the rest of the world.”
