Freelancer to Entrepreneur Development Program Concludes at Meherpur DC Office

The five-day long “Freelancer to Entrepreneur Development Program” successfully concluded on Friday at the Meherpur District Commissioner’s Office, organized by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology.

Concluding Ceremony

The closing ceremony took place in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, where Mahmud Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur, attended as the Chief Guest.

The event was chaired by Hemayet Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner, while Assistant Commissioner Zubayer Hossain Chowdhury, the Course Coordinator, delivered the welcome address.

Among others, Aminul Islam, Nejarat Deputy Collector, S. M. Rahat Hasnat, District Information Officer, and Freelancer Rebeka Khatun spoke on the occasion, highlighting the importance of freelancing as a viable path toward digital entrepreneurship and economic independence.

Inauguration and Training Sessions

The workshop was inaugurated earlier on Monday by Deputy Commissioner Mahmud Hossain, who emphasized the importance of empowering youth through freelancing and entrepreneurship training to reduce unemployment and strengthen local economies.

The training sessions were conducted by professional freelancing experts —

• Shobuj Sarkar, Freelancer Entrepreneur Training Executive (Dhaka)

• Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Hirok), Renowned Freelancer and Chief Executive of Unique Soft, Meherpur

Throughout the five days, participants received practical knowledge and strategic guidance on topics such as business planning, sales and marketing, branding, financial literacy, and managing online freelance ventures.

Program Objective and Impact

The Freelancer to Entrepreneur Development Program aims to transform skilled freelancers into successful business owners by providing essential entrepreneurial and management training. This initiative supports the broader vision of Digital Bangladesh, fostering innovation, employment, and self-reliance among the country’s youth.

Participants expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that the training provided them with the tools and confidence to expand their freelancing careers into sustainable business ventures.
