Freelancer to Entrepreneur Development Program Concludes at Meherpur DC Office

The five-day long “Freelancer to Entrepreneur Development Program” successfully concluded on Friday at the Meherpur District Commissioner’s Office. The program was organized by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology.

Concluding Ceremony
The closing ceremony was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, where Mahmud Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur, attended as the Chief Guest.
The event was chaired by Hemayet Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner, while Assistant Commissioner Zubayer Hossain Chowdhury, the Course Coordinator, delivered the welcome address.
Other notable speakers included Aminul Islam, Nejarat Deputy Collector, S. M. Rahat Hasnat, District Information Officer, and Freelancer Rebeka Khatun. Each emphasized the importance of freelancing as a growing sector for Bangladesh’s youth and a sustainable path toward self-employment and entrepreneurship.
Inauguration and Training Details
The workshop was inaugurated on Monday by Deputy Commissioner Mahmud Hossain, who highlighted freelancing as an effective tool for reducing unemployment and promoting economic empowerment.
He praised the initiative for creating opportunities for young people to transform their freelance skills into structured business ventures.

Over five days, the participants received hands-on training in business planning, branding, sales and marketing, financial management, and entrepreneurial development, preparing them to transition from freelancers to full-fledged business owners.
Purpose and Impact
The Freelancer to Entrepreneur Development Program aims to transform the freelancing community into a new generation of entrepreneurs who can create jobs and contribute to the nation’s digital economy.
The initiative reflects the ICT Division’s commitment to building a Digital Bangladesh, empowering freelancers through knowledge, technology, and practical business skills.
Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn from experienced trainers and for the government’s continued support in promoting digital entrepreneurship in rural areas.
