Independent Television Published News of Unique Soft

Independent Television, one of Bangladesh’s most popular 24-hour news channels, featured the success story of Unique Soft, highlighting the organization’s inspiring journey from challenges to achievement. The report showcased how freelancing has transformed lives in Meherpur and how Unique Soft has played a pioneering role in creating self-employment opportunities through free digital training.

The segment aired on April 27, 2013, during the 1:30 PM news bulletin (exact time 1:53 PM) with a total duration of 1 minute 17 seconds. The report was produced by Rajibul Haque, Correspondent of Independent Television, and included interviews with Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Founder & CEO), Ashraful Alam (General Manager), and Sohel Rana (Member of Unique Soft).

    Highlights of the Broadcast

Independent Television reported that freelancing is rapidly gaining popularity in Meherpur, where many unemployed individuals have found new livelihoods through online work. The channel spotlighted Unique Soft’s contribution in guiding and training local youths to build sustainable freelancing careers.

The feature portrayed Munshi Jahangir Zinnat as a symbol of determination—overcoming barriers and building a platform that empowers others.

Key excerpts from the interview include:

Rajibul Haque (Correspondent): Why did you choose freelancing instead of traditional jobs?
Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Founder & CEO):

“I was first employed in a telecommunication company. During that time, I became interested in freelancing and eventually shifted my career toward it. Freelancing gave me both independence and passion for my work. That’s why I returned to my hometown and began working from here.”

Rajibul Haque: Why did you decide to offer free training?
    Munshi:

“Freelancing doesn’t require any special educational qualifications. I decided to train others carefully so they could become self-reliant. So far, 33 trainees have already found freelance jobs through our support.”

Rajibul Haque (to Ashraful Alam, General Manager): What potential have you found in freelancing?
    Ashraful:

“I’ve been freelancing for a year now. What attracts me most is the independence—it allows me to work freely and manage my own time.”

Rajibul Haque (to Sohel Rana, Member of Unique Soft): Why did you choose freelancing?
    Sohel Rana:

“It’s easier to find work compared to traditional jobs. My family faced serious financial problems. Now I earn enough from freelancing to cover my education costs, personal expenses, and even help my family.”

    Acknowledgment and Impact

Independent Television concluded the segment by praising Unique Soft for its meaningful contribution to reducing unemployment through freelancing. The report noted that if the organization received support or funding from the Bangladesh Government, it could help even more people become self-sufficient across the country.

The program ended with a strong statement recognizing the organization’s potential:

“Unique Soft holds the promise to play a significant role in solving the unemployment crisis of Bangladesh.”
