Meherpur Freelancer to Entrepreneur Orientation Program at DC Office

A five-day “Freelancer to Entrepreneur Orientation Program” was inaugurated today at the conference hall of the Meherpur District Commissioner’s Office, with the objective of transforming freelancers into successful entrepreneurs. The event was organized by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology. Inauguration and Chief Guest

The inaugural session was graced by Mahmud Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur, who attended the event as the Chief Guest and officially opened the program.
In his address, he emphasized that freelancing has emerged as a significant opportunity for self-employment in Bangladesh. By guiding freelancers to become entrepreneurs, such initiatives will contribute to sustainable economic growth and strengthen the vision of a Digital Bangladesh.

Training Overview

The five-day training program includes 40 freelancers from Meherpur district who will receive specialized guidance on essential business and professional development topics, including:

• Freelancing business planning and strategy

• Sales and marketing fundamentals

• Branding and client management

• Business expansion and scalability

• Banking, insurance, and financial literacy

The program is designed to help freelancers build structured business models, improve professionalism, and expand their opportunities in both local and global markets.

Trainers and Mentors

The sessions are being conducted by a team of expert trainers, including:

• Shobuj Sardar, Freelancer Entrepreneur Training Executive (Dhaka)

• Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Hirok), Renowned Freelancer and Entrepreneur from Meherpur

• Four additional local expert freelancers, who are sharing their success stories and guiding participants through practical business approaches.

The Freelancer to Entrepreneur Orientation Program aims to bridge the gap between freelancing and entrepreneurship by equipping skilled individuals with business management knowledge.
