Radio Today Published News of Unique Soft
Radio Today 89.6 FM, Bangladesh’s first and most popular private FM radio station, broadcasted an exclusive interview-based news feature on Unique Soft and its mission to empower unemployed youth through freelancing.
The feature aired on August 27, 2013, at 4:53 PM, as part of Radio Today’s main news segment. The program lasted 2 minutes and 3 seconds and was reported by Majedul Haque Manik, Correspondent of Radio Today.
The report included interviews with Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Founder & CEO), Ashraful Alam (General Manager), and Philip Mollik (Director of Training) of Unique Soft. The discussion focused on their individual freelancing journeys, the growth of freelancing in Meherpur, and the organization’s ongoing success in transforming unemployed individuals into skilled online professionals.
Highlights of the Broadcast
Radio Today reported that freelancing had become a rapidly growing profession in Meherpur, thanks to Unique Soft’s free freelancing training programs. Many unemployed individuals have successfully transitioned into full-time freelancers, earning sustainable incomes and supporting their families.
During the interview, Munshi Jahangir Zinnat shared his personal story:
“I was working in a telecommunication company when I first learned about freelancing through blogs. After realizing its potential, I left my corporate job and returned to my village to work independently. Freelancing offers greater opportunities to earn and live freely. That’s why I started Unique Soft — to help others achieve the same success.”
When asked about why he began offering free training, he explained:
“Freelancing doesn’t require high educational qualifications. With basic computer skills and proper guidance, anyone can succeed. By providing short-term practical training, we have already helped 33 people secure jobs in freelancing marketplaces.”
Ashraful Alam, General Manager of Unique Soft, said:
“I’ve been freelancing for a year and earning a significant amount every month from online marketplaces.”
Philip Mollik, Director of Training, added:
“I started part-time freelancing in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and have already earned a good income alongside my regular job.”
Impact and Acknowledgment
The Radio Today report praised Unique Soft for its contribution to reducing unemployment and developing skilled freelancers in rural Bangladesh. It also noted that if the organization received government support or funding, it could train and empower even more people nationwide.
