Opening of “freelancer to entrepreneur” program was held at Meherpur on last Sunday by district commissioner MD. Mahmud Hossain along with Freelancers, Bank, NGO and News Correspondence was present at the conference hall.
Renowned freelancer, entrepreneur and founding director of Unique Soft BD, Munshi Jahangir Zinnat stated on the conference hall that there is no social acceptance of freelancers though they are playing important role in remittance. He added that there is no certification for freelancer while other professions are respected throughout the country. Freelancing as a profession is widely recognized and respected in the era of information and technology but we feel embarrassed admitting freelancing as a profession because of the ignorance of most of the peoples. He raised a proposal of getting acknowledged and respected by the countrymen as a freelancer on behalf of district’s freelancer.
D.C MD. Mahmud Hossain assured that the sole proposal will be recommended to the ICT ministry and other high officials. ICT ministry secretary Nozrul Islam Khan was acknowledged by DC while video conference that five freelancer to entrepreneur will be built in every districts and three banks will assist them in Meherpur by giving loan. Govt. officials are permitted to join in this program. Quality and working in timely manner was the concern of the conference.
