    Meherpur Freelancer to Entrepreneur Orientation Program at DC Office

    A five-day “Freelancer to Entrepreneur Orientation Program” was inaugurated today at the conference hall of the Meherpur District Commissioner’s Office, aiming to transform skilled freelancers into successful business entrepreneurs. The program was organized by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and the news was published by Meherpur News 24.


    Inauguration and Chief Guest

    The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Mahmud Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur, who attended as the Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the event.
    In his opening address, he emphasized that freelancing has become a vital sector for youth employment and that by turning freelancers into entrepreneurs, Bangladesh can strengthen its digital economy and promote sustainable self-employment opportunities.


    Training Overview

    A total of 40 freelancers from Meherpur district will receive hands-on training during the five-day program.
    The training covers key topics such as:

    • Freelancing business planning and scaling

    • Sales and marketing strategies

    • Branding and client communication

    • Banking, insurance, and financial management

    These sessions aim to provide freelancers with the practical knowledge required to expand their careers into organized business ventures.


    Trainers and Mentors

    The training is being conducted by several experienced professionals, including:

    • Shobuj Sardar, Freelancer Entrepreneur Training Executive (Dhaka)

    • Munshi Jahangir Zinnat (Hirok), Renowned Freelancer and Entrepreneur from Meherpur

    • Four additional local expert freelancers, who are mentoring participants with real-world insights from their freelancing experiences.


    Objective of the Program

    The Freelancer to Entrepreneur Orientation Program seeks to bridge the gap between individual freelancing and business entrepreneurship. By equipping freelancers with business management skills, the initiative supports the national vision of building a Smart and Digitally Empowered Bangladesh — where self-reliant professionals contribute to innovation, employment generation, and local economic growth.
